Crispy Chicken Cutlet with Fries ($6.80) from XR Western.
This western food stall is tucked away in the corner of this coffeeshop in Geylang Lorong 12. The stall opened in April 2021, a month before Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) restrictions kicked in. I got the Crispy Chicken Cutlet with Fries from them and the dish consisted of a chicken cutlet, shoestring fries, coleslaw and a bun. The meat in the chicken cutlet was well marinated and the batter was light. As someone who usually eats my chicken cutlets with chili sauce, this nicely fried chicken cutlet was flavourful enough for me to eat it on its own. The fries, coleslaw and bun did not stand out as much as the chicken cutlet did. Apart from ordering the chicken cutlet with fries, you also have the choice of getting it with Butter rice at $6.80 or the cutlet with Aglio Olio at $7.80. I did not try the other variations of the chicken cutlet dish but I would go back for the chicken cutlet.
