(verb) the Singaporean word for eat

​

"We jiak local" was started to give Singapore's F&B scene digital exposure. Currently, we are focused on publishing reviews on hawkers and coffee shop stallholders as we wish to help our hawkers who are unable to go digital during Phase Two Heightened Alert. We aim to give stalls digital exposure to allow more people to know about these stalls and patronise them, especially during tough times like this. We understand that there are Facebook groups and group chats on the various social media platforms where people share about food stalls and wanted to expedite the compilation of stalls-to-visit in this platform. We want to keep our hawker culture alive and we need you. Our reviews are crowdsourced as there are only so many stalls our team can patronise on our own.

Currently, we do not have the resources to arrange for deliveries for these stalls and we are open to anyone who would like to help the featured hawkers with deliveries.
