Chicken cutlet noodle (C8) ($4.00) from Fatty Cheong.
Stumbled upon the chicken cutlet noodles from this stall several months back and I have been going back at least once a week since then. The dish was made up of noodles, chicken cutlet, fried wantons and vegetables. Both the chilli pictured and green chilli can be added upon request. The noodles are as bouncy as the ones I have tried in Hong Kong. It does not have the dreadful lye water taste that other noodles have sometimes. You have the option of choosing the noodles pictured or horfun, and I would recommend the former as I tried the horfun once and it was clumpy. The chicken cutlet has a very light batter, is fried to a tee and is fragrant. The portion of the chicken cutlet is generous and does not become "jelak" with more pieces consumed. The fried wantons were not as mind-blowing like the chicken cutlet was. The dish also comes with gravvy over the noodles. The chili adds a little spice and extra fragrance to the dish and I would recommend getting it on the side. You can add green chilli upon request too. They do not charge a fee for takeaways.
The prices and opening hours may vary.
